This is the time of year when ordinary desserts get to become a little spooky, a little silly, and a whole lot more fun. Think creepy crawly details, dramatic colors, sweet little surprises, and plenty of frosting. 🕷️🧡💜 One of my favorite things about Halloween is that there really are no rules. A cake can be elegant and spooky. A dessert can be cute and creepy. And, of course, there is always room for a little extra frosting. The Frosted Fork kitchen is busy dreaming up Halloween treats, and I have a feeling there are still a few surprises waiting to come out of the oven. 🎃 Stay tuned… there’s more spooky sweetness coming! There’s just something about Halloween that makes baking even more fun. Give me pumpkins, purple flowers, creepy little spiders, and a cake with glowing green eyes—and I’m happy. 🕷️💚 This spooky skull cake was definitely a labor of love, with plenty of details to make it feel perfectly Halloween. And honestly, I think cakes should be allowed to have a little personality. 👻 Around here, Halloween isn't just a holiday. It's an excuse to get creative, make something delicious, and have a little fun along the way. So yes… the Frosted Fork kitchen is officially in spooky mode. 🎃🖤 What's baking next? It's fall, y'all. 🍂🧡 And apparently that means I have to put pumpkin on everything. Pumpkin cake? Obviously. Cinnamon buttercream? Absolutely. Fall sprinkles? Give me all of them. Do I actually need another fall cake? That's really not the point. 😂 There is just something about this time of year that makes baking even more fun. The colors get warmer, the flavors get cozier, and suddenly I'm looking at a perfectly good cake thinking, “Hmmmm… this needs more fall.” So that's exactly what I'm doing at Frosted Fork. I'm playing with fall colors, seasonal flavors, cute decorations, and probably way too many sprinkles. 🍂🧁 And let's be honest… if I accidentally eat some of the cake while I'm decorating it, that's just quality control. It's a tough job, but somebody has to do it. 😂 Fall baking is officially underway at Frosted Fork! When I decided to create Frosted Fork Sweets, I knew I wanted a website that felt like me and represented what I was building. There was just one little problem… I had absolutely no idea how to build a website. 😂 So, naturally, I decided to build one anyway. What started as “How hard can this be?” quickly turned into learning about websites, code, images, hosting, domains, GitHub, Vercel, SEO, and approximately a million things I never knew existed. There have definitely been moments when I wanted to throw my computer out the window. There have also been plenty of times when something finally worked and I thought, “Wait… I actually did that!” This website has been a challenge, but it has also been a really fun learning experience. Little by little, I'm figuring it out, making changes, fixing things when they break, and watching Frosted Fork come together. And honestly, that's a lot like baking. You start with an idea, make a mess, figure out what went wrong, try again—and eventually you end up with something you're proud of. 🧁💕 So welcome to Frosted Fork Sweets. The website may not be perfect yet, but it's mine—and I'm building it one sweet step at a time. And yes… I can make a cake. I'm just still learning how to make the website behave. 😂
